Originally from Miami, Florida, Dr. Perez earned her veterinary degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. Her love for animals began with her childhood cat, Tiger, a tabby who happily rode in her toy stroller around the backyard. She is passionate about educating pet owners to strengthen the human-animal bond, with special interests in hospice and palliative care as well as feline medicine. With a background in shelter medicine, general practice, and urgent care, she enjoys teaching clients and staff and finds fulfillment in helping sick pets return to health. She believes one of the best parts of pet ownership is coming home to a happy pet, whose excitement can instantly brighten even the hardest day.
