A skin scrape is an important diagnostic tool, especially if you think your pet may Demodectic mange or Sarcoptic mange. During the test, a sample of skin samples are collected and then reviewed by a medical professional under a microscope.
Sedation or anesthesia is not necessary to perform a skin scraping.
