Lauren MacDonald grew up up in Minnesota and attended The College of Wooster in Wooster, Ohio where she received her undergraduate degree. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree much further south at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in Gainesville, Florida. Dr. Mac D joined the Stand For Animals team in 2023.

My first pet: "In 4th grade, I got a pet rat named Gizmo! I LOVED her. She was a perfect starter pet for a kid."
A good day at the office is when: "When everyone (both animals and people) are happy. I love helping sick animals on their way to feeling better."
The best part of my job: "The variety of cool stuff we get to do! Surgery, healthy appointments, sick appointments, all sorts of species and breeds... and of course all my animal crazy friends (furry and human)."
My pet loves it when: "We go out for a run in the field and creek."
